Auniati University, established under the visionary leadership of His Excellency, Sri SriDr.PitambarDevagoswami, is committed to preserving and promoting the rich cultural
heritage of Assam. The Cultural Cell of Auniati University is a vital component of the university's mission to foster a deep appreciation for the region's multifaceted cultural
legacy. This cell is designed to promote cultural awareness, understanding, and exchange among students, faculty members, and the broader community.
Objectives:
The Cultural Cell of Auniati University aims to achieve the following objectives:
- Promotion of Cultural Awareness: To promote cultural awareness and appreciation among students, faculty members, and the broader community, with a focus on the rich
cultural heritage of Assam.
- Preservation of Cultural Legacy: To preserve and promote the cultural legacy of Assam, including its music, dance, art, literature, and traditions.
- Cultural Exchange: To facilitate cultural exchange programs, workshops, and events that bring together students, scholars, and artists from diverse cultural backgrounds.
- Development of Cultural Competence: To develop cultural competence among students and faculty members, enabling them to appreciate and respect diverse cultural perspectives.
Functions:
The Cultural Cell of Auniati University shall perform the following functions:
- Organization of Cultural Events: To organize cultural events, such as music concerts, dance performances, theater productions, and art exhibitions, that showcase the rich
cultural heritage of Assam.
- Conducting Workshops and Training Programs: To conduct workshops and training programs that promote cultural awareness, appreciation, and competence among students and
faculty members.
- Facilitating Cultural Exchange Programs: To facilitate cultural exchange programs, including student exchange programs, faculty exchange programs, and artist-in-residence
programs, that promote cross-cultural understanding and collaboration.
- Development of Cultural Resources: To develop cultural resources, including museums, galleries, and archives, that preserve and promote the cultural legacy of Assam.
