As per the guidelines of the University Grants Commission (UGC), Auniati University has established a Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups Cell to promote the welfare and
empowerment of socio-economically disadvantaged groups, including Scheduled Castes (SCs), Scheduled Tribes (STs), Other Backward Classes (OBCs), and economically weaker sections
of society.
Objectives:
- To promote social justice and equality by addressing the concerns and needs of socio-economically disadvantaged groups.
- To provide a platform for students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds to share their experiences and challenges.
- To facilitate access to education and other opportunities for socio-economically disadvantaged groups.
- To promote inclusivity and diversity on campus by creating a supportive and inclusive environment.
Composition:
The Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups Cell of Auniati University consists of the following members:

- To identify and address the needs and concerns of socio-economically disadvantaged groups on campus.

- To facilitate access to scholarships, fellowships, and other forms of financial assistance for socio-economically disadvantaged students.
- To organize workshops, seminars, and other programs to promote awareness and understanding of socio-economic issues.
- To collaborate with other cells and committees on campus to promote inclusivity and diversity.
Activities:
- The Cell organizes regular meetings and workshops to discuss the concerns and needs of socio-economically disadvantaged groups.
- The Cell provides counseling and guidance services to students from socio-economically disadvantaged backgrounds.
- The Cell facilitates access to scholarships, fellowships, and other forms of financial assistance for socio-economically disadvantaged students.
- The Cell collaborates with other cells and committees on campus to promote inclusivity and diversity.
Reporting Mechanism:
The Socio-Economically Disadvantaged Groups Cell reports to the Vice-Chancellor of Auniati University. The Cell also submits regular reports to the UGC and other regulatory
bodies as required.
